We close daily for lunch between the hours of 1pm to 2pm except on Thursdays. On a Thursday our phone lines divert to the out of hours service from 1pm but our reception will remain open until 2:30pm.
Extended hours
We offer extended hours by means of telephone consultations with a GP on selected days of the week.
These appointments are for non-emergencies and are pre-bookable only to patients who cannot access the practices in the week (for example patients who work away from home during the week).
Please speak to one of our receptionist team who will be happy to help you and advise when the next session will be. Our phone lines are open from 8am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm every day except Thursday. Our phone lines on a Thursday transfer at 1pm to the out of hours service.
If you need help when we are closed
If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.
NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.
Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.
Accessibility
Main Site Abbey Lane
There is disabled access to the rear of Abbey Lane Surgery and a disabled toilet. If you need to be seen downstairs, please let reception know when booking your appointment and we can arrange this.
We would ask that you let us know if you need help as your disability may not be a visible one.
We would also welcome any suggestions you may have in making your visit to the surgery easier.
Branch Site Baslow Road
The practice has suitable access for disabled patients. There is a ramp outside the building running up to the entrance.
The consulting rooms and the patient toilet are on the ground floor. If you experience any difficulty please consult a member of staff for assistance.
