Are You a Carer?

Many people do not realise they are carers. If you look after a family member, friend, neighbour, or loved one who could not manage without your support due to illness, disability, frailty, mental health needs, or addiction, you are a carer.

By telling us you are a carer, we can:

  • Make sure our records are up to date
  • Recognise the valuable support you provide
  • Signpost you to local carers’ services and support organisations
  • Provide information about practical, emotional, and financial support that may be available
  • Consider your caring responsibilities when arranging appointments and healthcare
  • Help ensure that your own health and wellbeing are not overlooked

You care for someone else’s health. Let us help look after yours.

You do not have to manage alone. Support is available, and our team is here to help.

If you are a carer, please speak to reception today so we can ensure you receive the support, advice, and recognition you deserve.

We also need to collect information for the government about how many carers we have at the practice. Contact the practice to let us know you are a carer.

Visit the Carers UK website for help and advice.
